Ashburton is an historic ancient Stannary Town (which means it was once a centre for the administration of tin-mining) and is recorded in the Domesday Book. The Town Council is located in Ashburton Town Hall, a Grade II listed building in North Street.

The commencing salary will be NJC pay scale SCP 2, £12.65 per hour, which equates to a pro-rata salary of £10,556.97 per annum (FTE £24,413 per annum).

The post is paid at £12.50 per hour for a minimum of 100 hours’ work throughout the year. Duties would mainly involve cleaning and preparing the Town Hall for events (setting up and clearing away). Please be aware the post may involve early mornings or late nights depending on the bookings.
