What do you enjoy most about serving the community? Seeing positive results and knowing that the work we do as a council can make a real difference to people’s lives. It is especially rewarding when a project or issue that residents care about leads to tangible improvements for the town and its community.

What is one issue that you would encourage residents to get involved in? I would encourage anyone who is able, to support or get involved with the Ashburton Social Supermarket. It provides invaluable help to local people and families, and whether through volunteering, donations or simply helping to spread the word, there are many ways residents can contribute to this important community initiative.

A fun fact about yourself: I once found myself running through Ashburton on Boxing Day dressed as the back end of an ambulance to raise money for St John Ambulance!
