What do you enjoy most about working for Ashburton Town Council?

I enjoy working in a small team where the work I do makes a difference. It’s great not knowing what each day will throw at you and having to think on your feet accordingly.

What do you find most rewarding about supporting the community?

It is good to see the difference a caring Council makes even if the outcomes are not always obvious to the wider public!

What’s one local event you always look forward to?

I look forward to the Remembrance parade each year. Ashburton, as a town, does this very well and encourages all ages to be involved. It is so important not to forget.

A fun fact about yourself:

I am a qualified Day Skipper and had a yacht in Torbay for many years.  I also doubled my money on the slot machines in Las Vegas – my 20 cents became 40!
