What do you enjoy most about working for Ashburton Town Council?

I enjoy working with caring, like-minded people who are passionate about Ashburton and want to make a positive difference to the community. It’s rewarding to be part of a team that is working towards improving the town and supporting the people who live here.

What do you find most rewarding about supporting the community?

I enjoy seeing the difference that the work I do makes to the town. Whether I’m keeping public areas tidy, looking after the green spaces and planting around Ashburton, or helping to keep the Town Hall clean, safe and well maintained, it’s rewarding to know that my work helps make the town a nicer place for residents and visitors. I also enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done and seeing the results of my work around the town.

What’s one local event you always look forward to?

The Ashburton Food Festival and the Carnival are two events I always look forward to. I love the atmosphere they bring to the town and seeing everyone come together to enjoy themselves. They’re a great reminder of what makes Ashburton such a special community.

A fun fact about yourself:

I enjoy getting out on my bike and exploring Dartmoor, and I’m also a keen wild swimmer. There’s nothing quite like a swim in one of Dartmoor’s rivers or pools!
