Welcome to Ashburton Information Centre

The Ashburton Information Centre is your one-stop source for information about Ashburton and the surrounding area. Supported by the Town Council and staffed entirely by volunteers, we are here to help visitors, residents and businesses alike. Whether you need information on local shops and services, accommodation, buses, trains or taxis, just drop in and see us.

Walks

Our popular walking booklet was created to answer the questions we are asked most often: “What is there to see and do?” and, perhaps most importantly, “Where are the toilets?” It is packed with ideas for exploring Ashburton and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

The Shop

Looking for a gift or souvenir? We stock a range of locally made crafts, photographs, paintings and ceramics, as well as walking, cycling and reference maps. New items are added regularly, so there is always something new to discover.
