Teignbridge District Council Asset Transfer
As part of local government reorganisation, Teignbridge District Council assets may transfer to Ashburton Town Council, and residents are invited to share their views on the town’s future and how these assets should be managed.

Teignbridge District Council (TDC) is being reorganised as part of local government devolution. As a result, its responsibilities will transfer to a new single-tier unitary council, which will deliver all local services through one authority.
During this process, Ashburton Town Council has the opportunity to acquire several assets currently owned by TDC. If this happens, the only guaranteed source of income to support them will be the precept, which forms part of your council tax.
